UAE Announces Lower Fuel Prices for January 2026 to Ease Costs at the Pump

The United Arab Emirates has disclosed its revised petrol and diesel prices for January 2026, whereby the consumers will be benefiting at the fuelling stations. The decrease in prices was endorsed by the UAE Fuel Price Committee and it will be taking effect as from January 1. The three petrol grades namely E-Plus 91, Special 95, and Super 98 will be all lower than December’s prices. A similar cut will be applicable for diesel as well.
To give more details, E-Plus 91 will now be priced at AED 2.34 per liter which is a drop from AED 2.51. Special 95 will come down to AED 2.42 from AED 2.58. Super 98 will now be AED 2.53 per liter instead of AED 2.70, and diesel will be sold at AED 2.55 per liter down from AED 2.85. The modifications mean that drivers all over UAE will get the relief of cheaper fuel for the upcoming year and thus more affordable in terms of price at the pump.
The Fuel Price Committee reviews rates monthly, adjusting them according to world oil markets and other economic factors. This system guarantees that prices are in line with the prevailing conditions and at the same time it helps manage costs for both consumers and businesses. With this recent price lowering, UAE’s rates are consistent with the outlook of a fairly balanced global oil market by the time 2026 rolls around.
For the residents and businesses that have to travel a lot, the lowered fuel prices can be a great financial relief. Fuel is a major cost and it is direct and indirect through the transportation, logistics, and daily commuting expenses. Hence, the decreases are usually accompanied by positive ripple effects throughout the economy.
Local experts consider the pricing trend a part of the region’s economic recovery and consumer power support that is going on through the whole spectrum. With setting prices that show both world trends and domestic arguments, the UAE is targeting to keep stable growth while assisting families to handle necessary expenses.
The declaration coincides with the situation in many countries where energy costs are unstable and stable or lower rates of fuel are great news for the consumers and industries using petrol and diesel. By the start of 2026, the UAE’s decision will have an impact on the daily travels of millions across the federation.
